GLP-1 care: nutrition and supplement questions to bring to a clinician

A non-prescriptive checklist for discussing intake, symptoms, medicines, and supplements during GLP-1 treatment.

1

Start with the treatment plan

Prescription decisions, dosing, side effects, and compounded products belong with a licensed prescriber and dispensing pharmacy. Supplements are not substitutes for prescribed care.

2

Describe what is changing

Share changes in appetite, food and fluid intake, gastrointestinal symptoms, energy, and your current supplement list. That context can help a clinician decide what deserves attention.

3

Avoid automatic add-ons

A GLP-1 medicine does not by itself establish that a particular vitamin or supplement is needed. Individual assessment may include diet, symptoms, medicines, health history, and laboratory information.
